Help Wales reduce its Carbon Footprint

“Climate change is one of the most important challenges facing the world.

It is not simply an environmental problem: it has profound implications for
the economy and for the wellbeing of people here in Wales, and across the
world.”(1)

Being a member of Transition Narberth, you are already part of the
solution! We are looking at starting a group focusing on personal Carbon
reductions, because:
“Every one of us has the power to make immediate and long lasting
change. By making small changes in the way we live, we can not only
reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, but we can also live a healthier
lifestyle and save money.”(1)

Are you interested in joining us?
Have a look at the following:
Welsh Assembly Government’s Climate change website at
www.wales.gov.uk/climate change
and
www.walescarbonfootprint.gov.uk
and
Climate Change Website is a bilingual educational website project aimed
at explaining and contextualising climate change in Wales at
www.climatechangewales.org.uk

This should be sufficient to wet your appetite at the moment.

“Benefits of Action
…by acting with others you can reduce emissions of greenhouse gases,
and at the same time gain a range of other benefits. The groups who are
already active in the area have experienced a range of benefits such as:
• Saving money by reducing energy use.
• Generating more money for the community which can be re-invested
in other projects.
• Getting to know other people in the area.
• Better quality of life.
• Suporting more vulnerable members of the community.
• Stronger communities which are more resilient to change.”(1)
